How to help

There are many ways in which you can help man's best friend:-

Volunteer

We are fortunate in having many loyal volunteers.  Indeed without their help our charity would struggle to function but we would welcome new volunteers with open arms.  There are many ways in which you can help us but please note, that as we do not have kennels, there is no voluntary work where you would have contact with our dogs unless  you are prepared to become a foster carer. Make a donation

We rely solely on the charitable donations of our supporters. There are many ways to make a donation to D.A.W.G.S. Click here for more information >

Why we need your help

DAWGS receives no local council or government funding, nor do we receive grants from the Lottery or the financial support enjoyed by other larger organisations. For the last 14 years we have been able to rescue and re-home over 2,000 dogs thanks to the dedication of our staff and volunteers along with the financial support given by the public.

With your help we can pay for veterinary care, occasional kennelling, rent, administration costs, fundraising costs and various other sundries involved with running our charity. We are committed to helping homeless hounds but need your support to help fund this worthwhile cause. For centuries dogs have been man's best friend. Now they need us. Please give what you can. You can make a difference to the lives of unwanted and abandoned dogs.
